mousecat88 2,281 Posted December 28, 2018 PREFACE: I WAS ON MY Protein Shake SITE BUYING Protein Shakes AND THEY ARE A BODY-BUILDING/MILITARY MRE SITE AND HAVE THESE THINGS ON THERE AND I WAS JUST READING ABOUT IT - I AM NOT INTENDING ON PURCHASING FOR DIETING PURPOSES BUT AM JUST CURIOUS BECAUSE IT SAYS IT GIVES YOU MORE ENERGY AND MENTAL ACUITY AND I ALWAYS NEED HELP WITH THAT, LOL.. (I can sense the scolding from afar) My Protein shake site, Redcon1, sells these non-stimulant weight loss pills that are supposedly T3 hormones (L-Thyronine). I followed this down the rabbit hole a bit and saw that some people said they used it to get over weight loss plateaus. BUT, I also read it is really good for an energy boost and just overall mental sharpness. I was wondering if anyone used anything like this for energy? I am always dragging ass (and always have my entire life, basically) and I can't take stimulant anything (it gives me panic attacks + ulcer + no thanks). I don't drink coffee, soda or tea for that reason. I obviously don't need it for weight loss - but a non-stimulant energy supplement could be helpful? The one on Redcon1 does have more weight-related stuff in it, like garcinia cambogia and linoleic acid, but there are ones on Amazon that are JUST Thyronine and nothing else. This isn't something I would consider taking while I am dealing with tummy troubles. 1 1 FluffyChix and Frustr8 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted December 29, 2018 I just don't know-as precarious as you are I would think twice, three times even four times before anything, but it is tempting Just remember, in life, there is no Free Lunch!
MarinaGirl 609 Posted December 29, 2018 Be wary if something seems too good to be true. And don’t fall for false promises from companies that just want your money. I wouldn’t believe the hype about shakes containing thyroid medication and would not consume any products containing them. The supplements industry is unregulated with lots of products that could be harmful to your body. Taking thyroid medication when it hasn’t been prescribed by a physician is very risky. And the assumption that taking extra T3 will result in weight loss and improved energy is false. That’s not how the endocrine system and thyroid gland work. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
