mahelpme 24 Posted December 28, 2018 Sometimes we feel like "if only I get to that goal wt". Will you finally be happy once you get to goal. 1 Wanda247 reacted to this
FancyChristine15 810 Posted December 28, 2018 I don't think that seeing a certain number on a scale will make someone truly happy if they aren't already a happy person. I was pretty miserable when I started this journey, but I'm not anymore. It has nothing to do with the number on the scale; it's just that I'm so much healthier, and I'm able to go out and do more things. 1 1 Wanda247 and CyndieRI reacted to this

Wanda247 908 Posted December 28, 2018 I totally agree with @FancyChristine15 I had surgery for health reasons and the surgery has resolved my biggest complaint which was Type II diabetes, I'm completely off of all meds and I feel wonderful!! I know I will get to the weight where I want to be in time but happy for me is when I went to my PCP I had blood work done 3 months after surgery and my numbers were normal, my doctor and I both got teary eyed...she said this surgery did exactly what it needed to do for you!! she saw me struggle with my weight and try everything possible so yeah that defines my Happy Now!! btw: That's a great question for people to really think about 🙂 1 FancyChristine15 reacted to this
AJP 132 Posted December 29, 2018 I have pcos and the metabolic syndrome that goes with it. Down little over 70 lbs since August surgery. BP almost back to normal, a1c iz normal, cholesterol normal (1st time in 20 yrs), but the female pcos symptoms with cycles had come back in full force. My gyn said my body is doing the opposite of what they expected. Story of my life lol 1 1 Frustr8 and Wanda247 reacted to this
