Time off from work

How much time will I need to take off from work? I'm in the medical field and lift residents out of bed, chair and commode. Some weigh over 200lbs. Don't want to go back too soon or stay out too long. [emoji62]

This is definitely a decision to discuss with your surgeon, but assume a minimum of 6 weeks.

I have a physically demanding job and took off 3 but I was put on light duty and got increased assistance. Discuss this with your surgeon but those with physically demanding jobs should definitely take as much as they can being it will take time to get readjusted to drinking while up on your feet/moving and eating properly while maintaining enough energy

Thank you I will discuss this concern because there is absolutely no light duty.
