Ed_NW 684 Posted December 21, 2018 They say no smoking but you can probably switch to another method. Just watch the sugar.
insta_adventurer 1,046 Posted December 21, 2018 Yeah- I’d watch the coughing for a week or two immediately post-op. Also, be mindful of the munchies that typically accompany smoking pot. Obviously I’d recommend enjoying it some way other than smoking it.. because smoking is not healthy. Maybe an edible or a tincture? There’s no surgical related reason why can’t still do it... just be mindful of the side effects like coughing and munchies.
Frustr8 7,886 Posted December 21, 2018 I know they always say sm9king delays healing, never heard marijuana would be exempt from that.🚬
Xapphirea 28 Posted December 21, 2018 I am Dutch, so yes it was a topic of discussion in our meetings. The answer I have gotten, was that smoking tobacco is not allowed. But smoking marijuana is, if you can smoke it without the tobacco. There are special Water pipes you can use it with or you can digest it in cake or in chocolate (sugar free of course) Images of waterpipes to give you an idea https://www.google.nl/search?q=waterpijp&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiXrqKL3bDfAhVENOwKHRt-D7kQ_AUIDigB&biw=1745&bih=

CharlotteWebb 275 Posted December 27, 2018 gummies are great. I have tea infused with CBD EVERY MORNING!I have multiple autoimmune diseases that cause insane inflammation. The Tea seems to keep it at bay but also makes me come alive in the morning.Sent from my LM-V405 using BariatricPal mobile app
Amanda Dutton LPC 217 Posted December 29, 2018 MJ shouldn't be an issue; however, like others have said:1) depending on how far out you are from surgery, watch out for coughing 2) be aware of if you are prone to food cravings3) possibly opt for oil, sublingual tincture, or canna coffee4) there are also creams and lotions if you want to try topical.5) check out if transdermal Patches are available where you areI'm a daily user of CBD oil vaped or sublingual for RA and fibro, and I've had good luck with a couple brands. MJ isn't accepted in my state yet so 🤷♀️Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
