Not So Big Bubba 2 Posted December 20, 2018 So I called to schedule an appt the other day since I had to reschedule for a family emergency. I was then advised that the hospital where I had my surgery and where my surgeons office was located is closing. Just shutting the doors. My Dr has to find a new home. My nutritionist is in the same boat. And here I am , trying to figure out wtf I am supposed to do with my ongoing journey. And on top of it the hospital that was supposed to be there for me has thrown me to the bookkeepers. PAY NOW. WTF. Your facility is no longer providing me with the support I need to get through this. I feel like that is part of the deal. Now I need to find another place to get me through this. And really what surgeon is going to take me on for continuing care if he knows the big money is done. And what if something comes up? Damnit. 2 CyndieRI and Frustr8 reacted to this

Your old surgeon can probably give you a referral somewhere. Post-op all of my follow-up visits aren't free... I still pay for office visits for the nutritionist and surgeon and nurses, etc. It's not like the payment for the surgery itself covers lifelong visits. At least not mine. Go to Inova in VA. They will gladly take you - I see you're not far from them.. especially if you drove from La Plata to DC for surgery (I used to live in Bowie).
