What do you eat for breakfast?

Recommended Posts

eggs are good, but a pain to make on a weekday morning. I can't stomach a Protein Shake or yogurt that early in the day. I tried high Protein oatmeal, but it is so filling that I can barely have any, and that just isn't enough protein. I have been doing a thin slice of Dave's Killer 21 grains and seeds bread (bread is ok on my plan) with a tablespoon of natural Peanut Butter. That goes down well, but it is only 7 grams of protein, leaving me a lot of make-up later in the day. So what do you eat for Breakfast?

I eat Pure Protein Bars. They are 20g of Protein, around 200 calories. In the beginning, I'd eat 1/2, then a couple hours later eat the other half. They're easy to bring to work and keep in a drawer.

Cottage cheese mixed with either 1 ounce fruit cocktail or 1 ounce Motts unsweetened blueberry applesauce.

I always have a greek yogurt. Easy to grab and bring to work. On the weekends, maybe cottage cheese or eggs or a shake. Nothing fancy.

I have ground turkey with fat free cheese, or egg salad. The former is an easy 13g of Protein for 2 ounces and it tastes like a hamburger, yum! A lot of times I also enjoy SF Bariatric hot chocolate - I get mine from the brand BariWise on Amazon. 15g of protein for 75 cals, always goes down well for me!

The ground turkey sounds good, I think I have to go non traditional for breakfast. I might go back to cottage cheese after reading the suggestions. I only did it during the purée stage. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

Im lazy rushed and usually have no ideas so if i DO have breakfast it's usually 2 boiled eggs. Or 1 boiled egg and some sage sausage or a boiled egg with another type of Protein. Im pretty boring lol. It's just easy to eat fast and filling. So it's the first thing i think of lol.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
