Are you taking your Vitamins, multi, B12, Calcium? I started my vitamins about a week after surgery and I never really was low on energy or tired, I blame it on the B12...

You should follow your doctor's and RD's orders for this. Most get a book to go by and a lot of talk leading up to surgery about what to take. I had 6 months of classes...

Check with your doctor to see if they want you to start B12, like FluffyChix stated I received a booklet from my doctor and it showed if your are having sleeve surgery then you take xyz Vitamins, Bypass xyz and so on. It's common for them to put you on B12 for energy and while I was in the hospital my doctor ordered B12 shots the day before being released for all of his patients, but run it by your group first honey.

I hope you feel better and energetic real soon 🙂

I was really tired for the first month or so. It takes your body a while to reconcile itself to the new eating regimen. It was much happier with all the easy-to-burn carbs, and plenty of them! Once your system gets used to burning fat, you'll feel better.

Has your team checked your Iron levels recently? I'm anemic, and I notice a huge difference in my stamina when I do and don't take my iron regularly.

I’m almost 17 weeks post op from RNY. I messaged my coordinator and asked about the B12. They sent me for labs to test everything.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
