KCROSS 0 Posted November 12, 2007 My name is Karen and I had my lap band on Aug 13th have lost 35 lbs so far...I have some questions, hoping someone can give me some insight into. 1. I have had 3 fills so far- total of 2 cc in band at present. this is the first time I can not tolerate different foods. I am ok with soft and liqs. however meat solids- even chicken feels extremely heavy and my chest full even after 2 bites. if this normal? 2. I have started Water aerobics, I do have a large lower abdominal roll and the exercises cause alot of bouncing...this caused severe soreness about 4 inches below the port...guess when the fat roll is gone the pain would be less...has anyone found a better exercise form? I have some physicial limitations- diabetic type I, fibromyagalia, previous broken foot and ankle- makes walking painful at times- was hoping water exercise would be the key... I look forward to reading your stories and things you have learned along the way
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 13, 2007 You really need to be eating solid Protein. I had times that I had to add something to make it moist so it would go down easier. You need to try it!
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted November 13, 2007 Are you sure you are chewing verrrry well? Eating slowly? Taking pea sized bites? Solids Proteins are a big part of making the band work well.
