Paperthin Vic 0 Posted December 11, 2018 My VSG is scheduled for December 28 and I leave for a cruise on February 21. Is this too soon?
Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted December 11, 2018 It should be fine.. Also on first night there let your waiter know of your dietary restrictions and they will accommodate for sure.. I was sleeved on 11/8 and going to DC this weekend. I would also let the medical doctor on board know of your surgery.
notmyname 593 Posted December 11, 2018 You should be fine. I just had my 6 week checkup and asked about travel. They said I could travel anywhere - just to make sure if I'm on a long flight I walk around every hour or so. Agree that you should tell them about dietary restrictions. And it might be good to take some Protein Powder on board just in case. But on a cruise, you should be able to get food that works.
lzucks 232 Posted December 11, 2018 I started traveling for work after 5 weeks. Also was able to swim after 2 weeks. You should be good to go based on my experience!
