Anyone discover a delicious tasting Protein Bar with 30g Protein and under 220 calories..??

Can't look at shakes anymore and need something to bump up my protein some days. I know I can use unflavored powder but looking for an alternative and something a bit delicious.

I like the Think Thin Protein Bars. I think they only have 20g of protein but they taste like a treat and they’re low in sugar. I also like the Premier Protein bars.

From what I've seen the 30 gram bars are usually just higher in Protein because they are bigger. You can only cram so much into a small bar. I second the Think Thin bars, they have sugar alcohols instead of nasty stevia or sucralose, but don't eat them in excess because sugar alcohols can cause terrible gas and bloating.

Silly question. Do you know if there are any "soft" Protein bars? I have full dentures and things that are tough are just not worth eating. I do not even attempt. I did once and that was the last time. It actually hurt to chew it.

Have you tried the Think Thin? They are definitely softer than some of the others.

The Premier Protein bars have 30 grams of Protein in them but usually have around 280 calories, i think? They're huge though and keep me full for hours. Sometimes I can't even finish the whole thing in one sitting. I think they taste decently.

Ok so am going to answer my own question..

I don't mind Quest bars, I've been using them for years but am so sick of them.

So, I have taken one for the team and been testing. I have found a winner - ONE bars are 20g Protein, around 200-220 calories, have some fat and are delicious! The fat plus protein are really satisfying. The different flavors are great.

Go forth and try..

I bough ONE Protein Bars on amazon! Definitely the best tasting bars on the market!!

I love them! My favorite is the almond coconut! They are a little higher in carbs than I’d like but they taste like such a yummy treat!

And please Dear Lord, convince one of the companies not every post- bariatric patient can, want or desires Peanut Butter or chocolate in or slathered on top, I cannot tolerate on and badly allergic to the other, unless I go to Luna or even Fiber One , low calorie but also low Protein , in the regular WL aisles I get a fuzzy lollipop out of the deal, both of these are denture tolerant just not the best choices. And so infrequently if at all. And Protein Shakes, been on them since last August, most have lost their charm but my ulcers and stomal structure preclude solid Proteins pretty much. Promises are made within 6 weeks or so things will be back at everyone else's start of progression stages. We Shall See, won't we?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
