Thoneybear 17 Posted December 9, 2018 I am 43 and was sleeved on the 28th. So far everything is going well and it has been a positive experience. The thing I miss most is being able to drink large amounts of Water, but I will keep sipping! 2 April Marie and Riseup reacted to this
bratcad 12 Posted December 9, 2018 I'm 41 (will be 42 in a week); I was sleeved Wednesday, December 5th, so I'm four days post-op. Other than some pain on my right side (largest incisions), I'm doing ok although I am struggling to get in all my fluids. 2 Riseup and April Marie reacted to this

Don’t stress to much about the Fluid. As long as you’re drinking what you can and peeing, I wouldn’t worry. It’ll get easier to drink. Good luck to you! 1 bratcad reacted to this

I'm much better about it after the surgery, but I have to really keep reminding myself to drink, drink, drink! JessLess 1,163 Posted December 10, 2018 I’m 48 and got sleeved 10/15/18. It took watching enough of my friends do it with positive outcomes for me to seriously think about it. That and a strong recommendation from my PCP. I’ve been very lucky to have had a relatively easy time adapting. My husband made me a plate of food tonight and I laughed. It was 4x what I eat now. I told him that was his, got a small plate and made up my own proper amount of cod and cheesy cauliflower. 1 LaNueva_Janie reacted to this

Hrsnjs 267 Posted December 10, 2018 Any 40+ doing the sleeve besides me at 41? Sent from my 5049Z using BariatricPal mobile appI turned 41 on 10/28. I was sleeved 10/22. Doing well. Losing slowly it feels like but I feel great and am off all of my diabetes and blood pressure meds. Wish I'd done it so much sooner. Only the bestest and neatest people have December Birthdays and I'm glad to meet another. Mine will be on the 26th, 73 on that day and like Peter Pan , I may never "grow up" ,at least not into sour pickle-hood . Had a lady in my childhood ⛪ church , got up to testimony , said" Oh How I love Jesus" with her face all scrunched up. I used to think "Golly why don't you smile? You aren't a very good and pleasant advertisement for the Christian Life!" 1 Riseup reacted to this
