I had surgery November 29, 2018. I have questions to see if some of the things I'm going through is normal. My stomach sounds like a toliet flushing and then I have to go to the restroom. A lot of it is not by choice. I'm leaking poop and don't when know it till I've went to the bathroom or I feel wet. Also I have diarrhea constantly. Is this normal and I can't sleep.

Yeah, pretty norms for this early out. Sorry you're having probs. I would use pads or panty liners for a while. You might also switch up your Protein. The gurgles get better. The other stuff is just part of figuring out your new tum and it healing. And oh...NEVER. EVER. EVER. Never trust a fart!

Oh crap! It's the juice. Literally!!! Stop the mother truckin juicing. It can make normie's tums get a case of the trots!

Your back pain is likely caused from the surgery. If it's right at your sternum where your esophagus and tum meet, then it's likely surgical pain. You get rid of that by taking liquid tylenol per the package instructions. If it's so bad, then I added in Tramadol with the liquid tylenol and it got rid of it very quickly. The pain radiates from deep in your chest straight through to your back.

Yup, seems pretty normal. On my 3rd day after surgery I had apparently pooed the bed just a tiny bit. Which I didn't notice at all. So I went to sit in my recliner. You know, just to spread the poo. It wasn't until my first big fart that morning that I realized a 2nd Water balloon had just exploded out of me. Super pleasant. I had a leaky bum for about a week. Don't worry, if you're like me you will soon have some stellar Constipation and then it should stabilize after a couple weeks.

Long story short, it will get better, and it will get better quickly. Although, I'd listen to Fluffy and avoid the juice for a while.

Dayum. I was the opposite. About 3 weeks out I realized a poo wasn't always a poo. After much intervention I delivered Rosemary's Baby in solid poo-form (complete with arms, legs, and devils horns). :(

Thank you. So what do I do with this day if I don't juice for the last day

I'd just drink tons of Water, Decaf warm tea, decaf warm coffee, SF Jello, SF popsicles, broth, Protein water and be done with the day!

But I'm just some shmoe on the internet and am not a doc!!!! That's just what I personally did for my clear liquid days. My doc would not let me have juice in any form.

Sorry, that's a question better answered by minds more knowledgeable than my own.

So what happened @ Ofordnew, did you receive your surgery? And if so how are you doing now?

I did have surgery and I'm doing great. I had to spend a lot of money trying to find what works for me and I have. I purchased from Walmart in vanilla and chocolate see the picture below. I also purchased Peanut Butter powder and I add it to my shake everyday and I have a Reese's cup shake every morning. No gas, No Gas, No gas definitely a blessing. Them I play with regular food but I love the can of chicken. I miss Unjury Protein Powder unflavored in the chicken. I use one cracker a slice of presliced cheese chedder and pile the chicken on.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
