Hungry....

Is it normal to feel hungry after being 4 days post op. I get this hunger feeling in my sternum area when I drink my liquids. Any input of what it could be or what I could try. And has anyone tried Protein sugar free hot chocolate. I am curving hot chocolate.

May not be hunger, could possibly be acid reflux? Are you on any medication for a little while to help reduce acid?

@Twinmom3330–I also have twins. I get the reduced calorie Swiss Miss and mix it with Fairlife skim milk. It tastes amazing and I have been having this almost every night.

The bariatric cocoas are good. If they are too sweet add Decaf instant coffee and/or unsweetened bitter cocoa powder. 15 grams of Protein too. I have it before bed to get my protein in for the day.

For me what felt like "hunger pains" "stomach growling" in the early weeks was stomach acid and healing, and generally my tummy trying to figure out WTF just happened to it I remain on reflux medication at 7 months post op as without it I get some annoying reflux, but with it no issues at all.

At 4 days post op it is most likely just acid/adjusting post surgery. But some people also feel quite hungry early on post surgery and while you are only having thin fluids etc that may remain the case for you until you move up to more solid foods that sit longer in your tummy and provide more nutrition to create satiety.

My team had a recipe for Protein hot chocolate for he full liquids stage post op, but check in with your team.

I am really not sure what the heck is going on in my stomach

I think my brain thinks i should be hungry - I am having weird feeling in my whole abdomen area

I really have no idea if it is hunger gas or ????

I was getting kind of bummed tonight - this liquid diet is a drag but maybe I need some better stuff

Last night was bad for me so I decide to take my choclate Isopure Protein mix and about 2oz of fair life milk stirred all.of the clumps out added hot Water and had an awesome protein hot coco. It was so delicous and filled me. And did not feel Hunger anymore.
