katiemarie22 48 Posted November 27, 2018 I was sleeved 10/14. I was never nauseous before surgery. Now, things are different. I don’t feel hungry anymore, but when it’s close to a time for me to eat (for example when I wake up in the morning before I eat breakfast), I feel nauseous. Same if I have a late lunch - I will feel nauseous until I eat something. After I eat, nausea goes away. Problem is, I don’t have much appetite, nothing is appealing when you’re nauseous so it’s hard to force myself to eat a few bites to relieve the nausea. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Tips to relieve the nausea? 1 Oct517 reacted to this
lzucks 232 Posted November 27, 2018 I’ve had a similar experience. I was sleeved in August. This has gotten better with time. Also I found I needed to eat something every 3-4 hours and that helped too.
Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted November 27, 2018 The only experience i have had with nausea was today. I am almost 3 weeks post op and today is day 4 without a BM.. well was day 4 LOL.. But after the restroom break, i was nauseous from going to the bathroom. I thought that was really weird.
elcee 3,341 Posted November 27, 2018 You are probably waiting too long between meals and the nausea is a symptom of low blood sugar. Try eating at specific times before you start feeling yucky
katiemarie22 48 Posted November 27, 2018 I didn’t know nausea can be a symptom of low blood sugar. I have been trying to limit my sugar intake, so that’s definitely a possibility. I’ll try eating at more regular intervals.
