Weight loss stall and fluctuations

Recommended Posts

My weight loss keeps going up and down , since last 1 month. I dont know what to do and what not.

I was sleeved on 4th june 2018, its 6th month running and i was 270lbs, right now i am 213 lbs.

I am not quite happy with the progress and confused as well as worried about what to do.

Don't worry about stalls, they're beyond your control anyway. Keep to your plan and get your exercise and eventually the stall will break.

This is a great time to pay attention to how your clothes fit, how comfortably you can sit in chairs, etc. Have you checked your measurements?

I was sleeved in July and I also feel like I have been in a stall for the last 2 months. I am trying to up my Water intake, reduce my diet soda intake, and increase exercise. I know we will get through it, But it is hard. I have my 6 month check in tomorrow, and I have barely lost any weight since my 3 month. Not looking forward to it. :(

I am almost a month out since my surgery. I lost almost 20 lbs the first two weeks. I only lost a pound this week. Should I be worried I’m eating too much?

No, its the body adjusting. I had the same thing. My stall really started around 3 + month, but this is also when Halloween. Thanksgiving, the holidays kicked in, so I am re-committing to the basics and seeing if that does it. You will be fine. So will I. :)

Wow, I hope you get the answer you are seeking. I also hope this is not me. I too feel at times like it makes no sense that I am not breaking the stall. I am now trying to slam Water and be more mindful of what I am eating, but I don't think I am eating too much either. I think I am always below 1000 calories a day. Good luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
