tmrtyty2018 105 Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) I was sleeved on 10/2/2018 and am down 47lbs. I feel like my progress is slow but steady. I’m actually in the 250’s for the first time in YEARS! My hubby and I have a Vegas trip planned in January and my gift to myself if I’m under 250 is to go horseback riding for the first time ever. I’ve never been under the maximum weight in my adult life so I’ve always avoided doing it. I know it will be cold but I don’t care. My butt will be freezing doing something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m so excited. Now to continue this hard work. I’m about 60ish lbs from where I think I want to be, which is under 200, and it finally feels like a realistic goal! Here’s to being sexy in Vegas. To all my fellow sleevers “We’ve got this”! tmrtyty2018 105 Posted November 24, 2018 Thank you! I hope so. I stalled for about 2 weeks and started getting discouraged and then this week lost 3 lbs. I think I wasn’t drinking enough Water. I can’t wait for that trip. To finally be comfortable in my own skin and save money because I won’t be eating much! That’s money to shop and do other fun stuff! And you look beautiful by the way. Love your profile pic! 1 2 Wanda247, FluffyChix and Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 reacted to this
Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted November 24, 2018 That is awesome! I also want to go horseback riding and have never been. I always thought I would break the horse LOL.. I never even knew there was a weight limit.. Well now I have something to work towards for the spring time. Not sure where I will go horseback riding but somewhere. I hope to be under 250 by then. I am 16 days post op and have a bit to go. 1 1 FluffyChix and Frustr8 reacted to this

Myhorseisfattoo 387 Posted November 24, 2018 For the sake of information, horses are comfortable carrying about 20% of their body weight. My horse weighs in around 1400 pounds, so I'm just at the limit for him plus saddle, however, he is a very stocky quarter horse and has never had any trouble carrying me. There are horses I wouldn't ride and there are people I would not let ride my horse. But generally, if the horse place is professionally run, you will be just fine!!! I just didn’t want to be one of the people they asked to weigh or gave the stink eye too because of my former weight. I would be too through!!! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Myhorseisfattoo 387 Posted November 24, 2018 Now you can ask how much the horse weighs and math it out yourself if anyone EVER dares to give you grief!!!
