You look awesome!! Good for you lady. We have similar beginning weight. I think I was 298 day of surgery. How tall are you? I’m not trying to lose my natural curves either. Don’t want to get below 180 to be honest.

Thank you all! My exercise routine is pretty basic! I do 45 minutes 5 days a week. 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weight training. I am pretty active outside of the gym too. I do a lot of walking and running around the place but honestly, in my experience exercise hasn’t played a massive part in actually losing weight it just helps with maintenance and overall health

Hello all!

I am 5 months out and a 100lbs down. I am honestly so grateful that I got the opportunity to have this operation done. I don’t miss my old life style at all, I now love the gym, I love my lean Protein and veggie meals, I love being able to shop anywhere without worrying about if they’ll carry my size, I love not worrying about taking up too much space on public transport, I love running about everywhere and not feeling the excess weight on my knees and feet.

Have I had bad days?? Of course! One day I ate an entire block of brie, another day I ate a slice of pizza. But the difference is now I don’t let my mistakes define. One bad meal isn’t going to get me back where I started. One bad meal isn’t the end of my journey. I accept it, and move on. Maybe i’ll move around even more the next day.

I have another 30lbs to go until I hit my goal weight, I will never ever ever be skinny, because i’m naturally curvy and you know what? That’s ok. I own these curves and i’m healthy and curvy!

Thanks everyone ❤️ @hannahRB thank you so much, and congratulations on starting your journey! You’re going to smash it! I can’t help you on the medical side but it you need any emotional support feel free to reach out! It’s a turbulent time but so worth it. The two weeks before my op was the hardest, but it’s only a couple of weeks until the rest of your life xxx

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
