I like the Isopure Zero Carb. I mix 1 scoop with 8oz of Water and 1 packet of stevia. It's thinner than pre-made shakes, which i prefer, and it's not as sweet.

I have been using the Premier for post op. Two more days LOL.. Then i am on to Puree and i have GENEPRO to mix in with food when the time comes, i think for now my doctors orders are one Protein Shake a day during the puree stage.

My picks:

Expensive: Isopure powder in Dutch chocolate (sooooo good)

Mid range: Premier premade shakes caramel in coffee, peaches & cream in green tea (OMG sooo good)

Relatively Inexpensive: EAS carb control in rich chocolate, Premier powder in french vanilla and Cabot unflavored whey Protein Powder both used for cooking

Safe Journey!

Well my local Wal-Mart in their infinite stupidity deleted every flavor of Premier Protein but vanilla and Chocolate, I am rapidly getting tired of vanilla anything, especially Protein Shakes, and I have been allergic to chocolate and it's whole family of associated things like cocoa and cocoa butter and have been for 43 years since I was carrying baby # 2. Yeah maybe I could order the other flavors shipped in, but when you want it, you want it. Loved both caramel and peaches and cream, funny they had them with impunity until the fabled lawsuit and I suspect they sussed out. Nearest Sam's Club 23 miles away, no costco, never had an Amazon account,of any kind.
I have never tried EAS, maybe try to find it. Next endoscopy scheduled 8 AM. Wednesday November 28th if I can find transport that early. Bummer when you don't have a car or drive anymore.

And I checked out Krogers, all they have are individual bottles chilled for $2.50. Not any choice more than W-M, really broke my ❤and they remodeled so a bunch of solid aisles front to back, maybe so you get frustrated and leave?

Amazon - pure Protein frosty chocolate shake yum! Also their protein powder mixed with skim milk in blender. Awesome and filling! They also have Peanut Butter flavor and I mix it half peanut butter half chocolate shake in blender and ice cubes. AWESOME!

On Amazon

New Whey Liquid Protein. They are fruit flavored.

They are vials of liquid Protein (I add them to 24 oz of water) and each vial is:

Calories 180, Fat 0, Carbs 2, Sugar 0, Protein 42

My surgeons office told me about these and I really like them.

They have multi-flavor packs.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
