shoregirl75 102 Posted November 19, 2018 So when I decided to have a revision from sleeve to bypass, due to bad reflux and weight gain, my surgeon warned me that my weight loss results would be slower than if I had not had previous WLS. I defiantly felt like I lost more quickly with my initial surgery. I just wondered for those that are farther out from revision......... Did you reach your goal? How much of your excess weight did you lose 40% 50%, 60% or more of your estimated weight loss goal? Do you feel that your weight loss was slower than with your initial WLS? Did you weight loss slow dramatically after the first few month? How long did it take you to get to goal? I would love to hear any information or progress stories you revision veterans are willing to share. Thanks! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

But that doesn't mean that's what it'll be like for you, just something you have to be aware of *if* it happens. I'm down over 100 lbs since March. Not sure if that's typical or more... I'm at the point now where my weight loss as slowed down greatly, I could easily move to maintenance if I wished to stay at this weight, but I want to go a bit lower so I'm still working on it, but it sure has gotten much harder to do. Check out my post It was 20 lbs or so ago now, but it still holds true Edited November 19, 2018 by Matt Z 1 shoregirl75 reacted to this

I try not to compare myself to others but it is hard not to sometimes not too. I am happy with my progress so far. It just sometimes when you have a slow weight loss week you can't help but wonder, Is this it? Is this all I am going to be able to lose this time? But i am still early in the game. I am 10 week post op so I am going to be positive that there is more weight loss to come and stay on track with my plan.
