🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 296 Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) I’m assuming losing a large amount of weight is going to throw our cycles way out of whack since a good majority of our lady hormones are stored in fat. How has your “monthly un-gift” or other lady stuff been affected? Edited November 16, 2018 by Kimmie K
Sweettoothless 100 Posted November 16, 2018 (Surgery Nov 5) I skipped my last 3 periods, went to gyno, no problems other than cysts. I'm 47 so thought maybe things were shutting down. I came home the next day after surgery and kablooey. I told my dietitian at my after appt and she said it happens to loads of women and often times while they are still in the hospital, regardless of where there were in their cycle. I am interested to see how my cycle goes after this. 1 1 Frustr8 and 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 reacted to this
MarleneDeeRNY 2 Posted November 16, 2018 I’m 7 weeks post op RNY right now. I hadn’t had a period for about 4 months before surgery, periods were always pretty irregular for me. At 5 weeks post op my period came and it came heavy. I’m hoping next cycle isn’t as heavy. 2 Frustr8 and 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 reacted to this
🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 296 Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) Definitely interesting to hear this. I was in a bad car wreck last year and was on TONS of antibiotics. I eventually read that the type I was taking can have an effect on your cycle. My monthly “gift” has always been predictable up to a few days. A week after I took my last pill, here comes my period. I hadn’t had anything for nearly 2 months. Super weird how sensitive that part of us is...yay body science! AJP 132 Posted November 16, 2018 47. Had endometrial ablation done in 2011. Very light or nothing at all. Surgeon warned me could be heavy at first. That's an understatement!! I have pcos on top of everything else. First one 2 days post op. 8 days. Next month 7 days. Heavy from start to end. October 7 days then 8 days OK then spotting last 2 weeks now I think it's back again without having had stopped. So it's been 3 weeks now with only week break from time before. I had a tubal done work the ablation. Thinking about asking to go on birth control again this is driving me nuts!!!! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Jazzy1125 1,010 Posted November 16, 2018 I will have to wait to provide a true answer on this one however.. The night before Surgery mine decided to make an appearance! Lordy Lordy... But for a cycle that is normally 5 days.. It was present day one ( night before surgery), day 2( day of Surgery), Day 3.. Pretty Much ran away, Day 4.. Decided to make small appearance, day 5.. it started to be like i had just given birth LOLOL.. Different, but not really there. And then whala.. gone. So i actually believe the surgery affected it even when it was present during surgery the total thing was different from day 2 to day 5. Will see if there is any difference. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
AEdoesRnY 531 Posted November 17, 2018 I have an IUD, so before surgery I didn't have a period at all. Once a month I had maybe one day of very light spotting, but other than that nothing. Since surgery, my cycle has come back and I've had 1-2 days of my period each month. The first month or so it was a little irregular, but since then it's been pretty steady! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
