New SHOES!!!!

Recommended Posts

I wear a size 7 now but have to wear grannie shoes for comfort. I am hoping with decreased wt, I'll be apply to wear heals (not too high) a really attractive shoe. I also can't do up boots that are higher then my ankles. I am hoping wt loss will change that as well. Has anyone had success with that?

You know I wondered about this, too. I was always a 6.5 medium and over the years, it went up to a seven (sometimes needing a wide). I wondered if it was weight or age. so I guess I'll find out which later. It doesn't really matter to me which I end up at, but I'd hate to be in the "middle" of two sizes. Because then Slip on style shoes, as opposed to lace up sneakers etc. would either flop off as you walk or be tight.

Yeah, I know the size is already small and I guess I should be happy about that, but I'm short so smalll feet on me makes sense, right/

Another place for shoes online is footsmart.com - I got some really cute 10WW on there . . . and Friday night when we were going for family pictures I put one pair on . . . and I had to change - I couldn't keep them on my feet! Oh YEA if I can come down a size . . . that would be GREAT!

I have to share that I finally can zip my boots all the way up. I have only been able to zip them to my calves for so long it was normal to me. I forgot that they really should be able to zip to the top. It feels great!

I would say my feet is where I've lost alot of the weight already, I'm down 30 pounds and I was wearing a 10. Now some 9's are big, and tried on my mother's 8's and I could fit them (a little snug) but they went on. I would say definitely on the shoe size! My boyfriend got me pink reebok running shoes last year for Christmas that were 10's, and this year I got even nicer ones in a 9!! Yay :)

I wear an 11 and its so hard to find cute shoes that fit properly. I have 3 kids and with each pregnancy I grew 1/2 size started at 9.5 now up to 11 BLAH

Its bad enough not being able to enjoy shopping for clothes in "regular" sizes, but also not being able to find shoes when out with friends really sucks!

I am to be banded on 1-16-08 so I will be in the "regular sizes" in clothes soon and hopefully shoes too!!!! A size 10 would be fine!

I have been complaining lately that all my shoes are too big.

It's nice to lose weight but I am not enjoying the fact that everything I own is too big. I don't even know what size underwear

to buy. I don't think you're supposed to try those on. I need a new coat, a new nightgown, new shoes, and Santa did not come through!

I have had the trouble of things not fitting as well, but isn't it so much nicer having clothes too big VS clothes that are too tight and having to go up another size? Some of my friends make fun of me because my shirts are starting to look like tents on me. I love it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
