Sometimes I think I may have been a bit foolish for scheduling the surgery before the holidays. You know...temptation and all, but I am determined to make a go of it. Dr Helmuth Billy is going to do my surgery and I hear that he is the leading bariatric surgery doc in this area. I am an RN and Nursing Supervisor at our local hospital in Ojai. transformer 1 Posted November 12, 2007 Welcome! I hope all goes well with your surgery! You must be getting so excited now! I was banded in December last year. I think it was a good thing to have it done at that time for two reasons. First, it matched up well with the time off I already had scheduled so I didn't need to use much sick time and having the surgery around the holidays kept me from gaining even more weight!
