Bypass booked 2 weeks before Christmas

Recommended Posts

My band to bypass operation has been booked two weeks before Christmas. I wanted it as soon as possible so sticking to that date, just a little concerned that it is so close to Christmas. Assuming no complications, am I likely to be able to have the odd day out, theatre trip etc, that soon after surgery? I have 2 kids, so still would like to do some things with them.

2 weeks might be a little close, I was able to attend a theater event 18 days after surgery with mild discomfort overall. As long as someone else is driving, you've got plenty of places to sit and rest... you might be ok.

You should be up and feeling better by then. My surgery was scheduled for the day after my birthday. Therefore, I could not Celebrate like i wanted. That was fine too; I knew what needed to be done

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
