I was driving about 3 days out. I went back to work a week after surgery.

I drove myself home from the airport on the 3rd postop day.

I started driving after 3 or 4 days - but I was not taking pain medication. If I had been taking pain meds, I would not have driven.

Imagine being stopped by Police? "Oh yes officer, I just had surgery and they misplaced my tail. Maybe when I go back for followup they'll straighten things out!"

I drove 4 days after, but was uncomfortable until about a week after, I drive a manual Transmission and the shifting was a bit of a pain.
