TMI TMI Female Problems

Recommended Posts

Hi, females. I am 11 weeks post-op. My sex drive is nonexistent. I have none. It is starting to annoy my bf. Also, when I do the deed, I am in sooooo much pain because I am as dry as a bone. Anyone else experience this? In my 5 years of being sexually active, I have never had pain. Thanks!!

5 weeks post op here. I would not say that my sex drive is nonexistent but I do feel like mine has certainly gone done. Tbh, I've always had a much higher sex drive than most and now it has gone to almost being normal since surgery. I think it has to do with all the hormonal changes and just being focused on other things. How can I think about sex when I'm trying to keep track of how much I'm eating, what I'm eating, staying hydrated, taking my Vitamins, etc.
The dryness is definitely hormonal. Lube has always been my best friend. Not sure about you but my surgeon made me stop my birth control for the month after my surgery. This has definitely messed with my hormones also.
You should give your OBGYN a visit and explain the situation to her.

Fat stores estrogen, as you lose fat, your system gets flooded with estrogen, unfortunately your sex drive is controlled by your Testosterone levels. But, the good news is, that once you flush out a good amount of fat, and your body has a chance to balance out again, your sex drive should come back with a vengeance!

As far as the dryness... get yourself some lube. Water based stuff doesn't hang around long, but it's condom friendly. Oil based stuff works amazing, but isn't condom friendly. Silicone lubes are more expensive typically but are both condom friendly AND has good staying power. And no need to go to an adult store for lube, all pharmacies carry lube and personal massagers now.

Matt's right! Get some lube and even consider trying some of that warming stuff they sell at the drugstore and don't skimp on the foreplay!!! (the warming stuff is LEGIT) You'll get in the mood and be more comfortable during the official act. Get your boyfriend involved with getting you ready and have fun with it. You can do this!!!

Truth!

But yeah, I had a very high sex drive before surgery--now I honestly care less. I do hope it balances out soon!

Maybe innate sense of taking care,of yourself and your healing over being someone else's Pleasure Palace. It will either smooth out or not, if not , did you still want to swing from chandeleirs, vibrate all over the place, scream at the top of your lungs YES YES YES. No sense giving yourself a ❤attack, darling!
Clean up old nasty joke for more mixed company.

And as a widow, if I get the opportunity to Mattress Mambo, I hope I don't have to revert to training wheels, surely I can do it without crashing into a wall or falling off. That would be frustrating and hilarious at the same time!🚲🌀

Is it possible that you’re dry, because you’re just not that into it at the moment? It’s cool to not want to have sex. It’s cool to want to have sex, too.

By any chance are you on any antidepressants? Right around surgery time, they switched me from Cymbalta to Celexa and seriously that KILLED my sex drive. I switched to something else and it went back mostly to normal.

Maybe the SSI that they call these meds stands for " Suddenly Sex Impossible " and SSRI for "Suddenly Sex Really Impossible", oh why don't Doctors tell us this?💊

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
