KMac2018 10 Posted February 1, 2019 Hi, I have been looking for the January 2019 group, finally found it. I had my surgery on 1/27/2019. My Highest weight was 253, I think my surgery weight was 248 a week after surgery I was 235. Now, a week later I am still 235 and the scale is not moving. I feeling frustrated about that. How can I be consuming so little and the scale does not move? I've heard about stall's but I was hoping they wouldn't happen to me...j/k

Ugh i was never a sipper either so that’s an adjustment.
tashie123 46 Posted February 2, 2019 I had my surgery on January 31st. Everytime I take a sip, it hurts. Cramps. I think it may have something to do with the gas.

I think it may have something to do with the gas.I was fairly lucky, I havent had the gas pains. It's all incision pain. I have been taking my pills ground up with apple sauce. That is the only problem I have, the taste is so bad it almost comes back up.Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
NZR 21 Posted February 2, 2019 How’s everyone doing post op. I had the surgery on the 16 th and am back to work tomorrow. Probably could’ve gone back last week but decided not to. Am glad to have the break. I lost 4kg in the week following surgery but not a single pound had come off since. So frustrating. Anyone else’s experience this? I wasn’t expecting to stall so soon 1 Mdnytangel reacted to this
elcee 3,341 Posted February 2, 2019 My surgery was the day after you. I’m glad I don’t work because my energy levels are still close to zero. Just walking around a shopping centre wipes me out. Not sure if that is from the anaesthesia, the op, the blood transfusions I received or the middle ear infection I currently have! Other than that recovery has been pretty good. No pain. Just trying to figure out what foods I can eat as mushies. I’m tired of yogurt and custard and other sweet foods. Weetbix and oats don’t sit very well. tuna or smoked salmon with cottage cheese is pretty good but I seriously need new easy ideas that don’t taste like baby food. I have lost just over 4kg since the surgery. I’m happy with that as I’m a revision and don’t have a heap to lose.

stephanie_dora291 12 Posted February 2, 2019 Hey everyone! I had a revision from band to bypass on Tuesday the 29th! Still a bit sore, but super excited. How long does the gurgling stomach last??? lol
trasib 37 Posted February 2, 2019 I’m two and a half weeks out from surgery now. Got the ok on Wednesday to move to full liquids - finally dived in today and had some chicken and wild rice Soup - strained as much as I could of course. Oh. My. Heck. My new friend (whatever I call my nonexistent stomach now) DID NOT APPROVE. The McDonald’s on the way home that I stopped at to use the facilities is now somewhere I can never go again. Uuugh.
