Medowsweet 52 Posted October 29, 2018 Or do the cut up your intestines without enout stomach acid to dissolve the Shell shards?
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted October 29, 2018 I had sleeve surgery a year ago and I ate some last week. I prefer the nut meats only, but I had a handful in the shell with my bestie and didn't suffer any ill effects. Best, always, to ask your nutritionist about this kinda stuff. Some people have incredibly sensitive digestion after surgery. Some do very well with this kind of thing. Just depends a bit on which kind of experience your anatomy picks. I ate popcorn two months out and had no issues. I've never once vomited since surgery and other than corn on the cob...have never had anything give me discomfort. I munch down potato skins, celery, seeds and nuts, apples with skins, pretty much everything. Other folks...will have problems with lettuce. Just kinda depends. Wish I had a better answer. Best wishes! When in doubt...ask your clinic. 2 FluffyChix and Frustr8 reacted to this

Important thing to remember, digestion starts in your mouth - chew your food well . What you can and can't tolerate after surgery is impossible for anyone to predict. Some people can chomp on celery, corn and raw carrots whilst others struggle with soft foods. FluffyChix 17,415 Posted October 29, 2018 Sure! I do all the time. But just make sure you're over 21. And remember to chew responsibly! But I am also working on 9 months out. 1 MargoCL reacted to this
