I had a Breast reduction in 2002, and breast augmentation in 2007, liposuction on stomach, thighs, muffin top section in 2009, another breast reduction in 2017 with smaller implants replacing the ones I had in 2007, and on Oct 31, I’m having the gastric sleeve. I am a BMI of 32 and SW is 180. My goal is 125. I’m 5’3 and gaining weight in all the wrong places gives me major aches and pains along with my tailbone actually hurts when I sit.
Does anyone have experience with liposuction before weight loss surgery? I’m curious to know if the areas that once had fat sucked out will be easier to lose? Will they be thinner?

I'm a little confused.

You had your boobs reduced , then enlarged then reduced again? You realise that if you have dramatic weight loss your boobs are likely to change shape again. Will you be going for a further boob op?

I see your sleeve surgery is this week. Good luck, hope it all goes well.

Yes, reduced, then after two kids they were gone and I had a tubal so I went ahead and had them filled, then after a long time I gained a lot of weight and had to reduce them again. I’m not really too worried about them I was just wondering more about Liposuctioned sections.

Oh best to you. I also have a pronounced tail bone... I would rather deal with it rather than shortened boned.

I had both liposuction (2009) and a breast reduction (2017) prior to surgery. Between 2009 and current, I gained massive weight, first in the areas I didn't have Lipo, and then in the areas I did. I am not losing weight now in the areas I had lipo any faster than anywhere else. I also regret having the breast reduction done... had I known I would be having WLS, I would have waited... but I didn't expect to and they were severely hurting my back. They will likely be quite saggy when I lose weight... but I have a LOT more weight to lose than you do.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
