MegPRN 204 Posted October 26, 2018 I'm 10 weeks out from sleeve surgery. I've noticed lately that I seem to have a "delay" when I swallow liquids. I don't notice it as much (or at all, really) with solids. It's like - I swallow, then I feel it sit for ~2 seconds in my throat, then I feel it move down into my stomach. It's more noticeable with really cold things because I can feel the cold liquid moving down. Anybody else have this? It doesn't really bother me, and I don't have any other symptoms (reflux, choking/aspirating, etc) so I'm not really worried about it. Maybe a hiatal hernia? It's just weird and different! MargoCL 677 Posted October 26, 2018 Early on right after surgery I had to experiment with Water textures. Which included flavors and temperatures. I'm 9 weeks post op and still struggle daily / weekly. Some days my body prefers ice cold water and others it just wants cold. And other days my body wants hot fluids. It will be trial and error for you in these early stages.
