Sleeved on 8/22. Down 44lbs. Been stalled for two weeks due to getting sick and eating what made me feel better. Mainly saltines. Back to eating what im supposed to again but I feel like I'm eating too much but when I track it it feels like almost nothing. Still don't feel like reaching my goal could actually happen. Like this is all a dream and I'm kidding myself if I will ever get under 200lbs. Anyone else ever feel like this? What happened to you?

Don't give up, there are LOTS of reasons you could be stalling out. How's your Water intake? If you aren't getting close to 100 oz, try to. The human body needs between 90 and 100 oz of water a day, for a normal human. When you start adding fat loss, since fat is water soluble, your body needs extra water to process fat removal, as well as toxin flushing. So working up to 128oz of water a day (or as close as possible) really helps out in many ways.

Also, just because you are not losing "weight" doesn't mean you aren't losing fat. There have been so many times where I didn't lose an oz, but dropped a few tenths of a % of body fat. So just because you don't see the scale moving, doesn't mean you aren't doing things correctly.

Just keep doing what you should, tracking what you should and working on getting in lots of water.

Thanks. I do need to work on my Water intake. I actually woke up this morning and saw that I gained 1lb from yesterday and honestly have no clue why because all I consumed was Protein and veggies yesterday in small amounts every few hours. I could have drank more water but still all I did drink was water yesterday. Probably not as much as I need to. So weird that I gained though. O well. I'll just keep doing my best.

I'm like a roller coaster. I go about a week staying on top of what I'm supposed to eat, then I grab something quick and then I mess up my whole day eating bad things because I justify it in my head that I've already messed up. I have times when I feel like nothing has changed and I'm doing so well and the scales don't say anything different. Then I get on and there's a few pounds off. I think my scale likes messing with me. I also feel like I havn't done as good because I hear people losing more than me around the same day I had surgery, but then I tell someone how much I've lost and they are amazed. I want the quick way, but I know I didn't get obese in 1 day and I won't be at my goal weight in 1 day either.

I was sleeved just days before you on 8/20 - I'm currently down 37lbs and have stalled numerous times since week 3. Like you, I was sick and currently still recovering. I barely ate / drank for 5 days and since my appetite returned I've really only eaten comfort food (which btw, is no longer comforting - at least that's what my body tells me). Anyway, I was like you didn't think I'd make it under 200 and whoa and behold I did. I am down to 198.8 (0.8 lbs from my first goal weight).

Hang in there, stay true and definitely keep up with your Proteins and Water. You WILL make it below 200. Thinking of you and if you need to chat, don't hesitate to reach out.

Keep to the program and work on your Water intake. Track your intake of everything even if it's on the nono list. It'll help you determine if/where you are going wrong. Stall are going to happen and so is weight gain. There are a lot of determining factors so don't think you are failing. Most of all be patient, that was my hardest struggle and at times still is. Stay positive mentally and Best To You!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
