fluffy562 110 Posted October 25, 2018 Is salad a slider food for you?
AJP 132 Posted October 25, 2018 Seems to be. I can definitely eat more of it if it's on lettuce. Today was weird though. Had me in the bathroom 30 min after eating
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted October 25, 2018 Yes. I can eat close to 2 cups of it maybe including Protein? Maybe a little more. 2 Wanda247 and clsumrall reacted to this
Wanda247 908 Posted October 25, 2018 I only had a few bites and I felt so bloated, for a few hours. I will wait to try it again. It’s really sad because I’ve been craving salad 😔 1 clsumrall reacted to this
jultrim18 132 Posted October 25, 2018 Yes! I definitely can eat more salad than Soups or chicken. I love salad!
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted October 25, 2018 This blows my mind! I can only eat about 3 or 4 bites of salad, so I've stayed away from them unless I'm really craving salad.
BelleOfBatonRouge 80 Posted October 26, 2018 I’m so craving salad. I think it’s the crunch I miss.

Miss Topaz 300 Posted October 26, 2018 I can down a couple cups with about 2 ounces of Protein. anything more is too much
redhead_che 824 Posted October 26, 2018 This is blowing my mind too because I'm 11 months post op and still can only eat a few bites of salad. I kept trying to eat a salad for lunch at work and I finally just accepted my stomach prefers straight Protein instead. So I'm the goofball in the salad bar line filling a bowl with chicken breast chunks, diced ham, hardboiled egg, and a pinch of dressing 2 1 John Kitsu, AJP and FluffyChix reacted to this

This is a relief! Good info TY! I also make them super low cal/low glycemic index and load. Love them!!!!
Phinley 94 Posted October 26, 2018 Depends on the salad. If it's mostly lettuce and other leafy goodness, it compresses down to nothing when chewed while something loaded down with mushrooms, Beans, broccoli and other more dense, fibrous vegetables it can keep me going for a good while. Frustr8 7,886 Posted October 26, 2018 Tuesday Tomkitten asked my dietician Roy "When can MOM eat salads with me again? " Roy just gave a rueful laugh and said Not Soon, Not Soon!

But I DO have restriction and felt really full.
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted October 26, 2018 Thanks @wanda247! I'm sure I'll eventually get there, but right now it feels like the salad fills me up and takes away room from my Protein. 1 Wanda247 reacted to this
