Rexcom 39 Posted October 21, 2018 For those VGSers who have had little or no hair loss and are at least 6 months post-op....... 1. How was your Protein intake and hydration during your 1-month post-op period? Did you reach or surpass protein and Water intake goals? 2. Did you take bariatric Vitamins and supplements? Which supplements? Thanks! 1 relaxrelaterelease reacted to this

Did you take bariatric Vitamins and supplements? Which supplements? Not bariatric specific no, just the list of recommended supplements with the addition of LLysine Thanks! 2 Rexcom and relaxrelaterelease reacted to this
johnsons13 359 Posted October 21, 2018 I'm not sure if I"ve had much Hair loss or not because I have dreads. My hair feels the same though. I would get about 45-60g Protein a day. My Water intake varied from 40oz to 64oz. I know they say surgeries, major weight loss, etc can effect your hair loss. Something about the trauma and messing up something. I've read the information over and over I just can't remember the technical terms. Anyway in the past 5 years I've had I think 5 surgeries. So, I'm not sure if my body is used to the trauma or what. 2 1 Rexcom, logicwand and GreenTealael reacted to this

Have you or were you able to notice any Hair loss? Mine are 20 yrs old so I was definitely worried about losing them so I started doing a ton of research and found research about Telogen Effluvium and LLysine so I started supplementing with that very early on. I've only had very very very minor thinning but no losses. I also went super low manipulation for about 8 months. I have my hair re-tightened every 4-5 weeks. I may have to rethink that, though I really hate how they look with new growth. I will investigate L-Lysine. Thanks for posting, GT! Btw, you locks are lovely! Edited October 22, 2018 by ElectricBoogaloo 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
johnsons13 359 Posted October 22, 2018 The only thing I do with mine is seperate them after a few days. I palm roll from time to time but other than washing them, I don't mess with them. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
kaleeshab 38 Posted October 22, 2018 I never met my liquid goal one month out. I did however meet my Protein goal and took all of my supplements. I actually noticed that my hair (everywhere) grew faster. 1 logicwand reacted to this

I mostly semifree form anyway unless I have an event I have to go to.
