Lynnash2323 5 Posted October 18, 2018 It's been a week after surgery and I'm having a hard time. I'm in my stage 2 full liquid diet and it consists only of clear liquid and adding Protein Shakes. I try eating jeloo or up but really but not interested in food at all. I'm hungry and I'm frustrated about it.
MargoCL 677 Posted October 18, 2018 During this stage, I survived on SF Popsicles and primarily homemade Bone Broth Soups. I ate a lot of Soup during my liquid phase because it was the only thing my pouch could accept. The soup also satisfied my "hunger" feelings because I was drinking something I made and it was low in sodium. You've got this, I promise it gets easier as you move forward. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
johnsons13 359 Posted October 18, 2018 Remember to tell yourself that this will pass. It will probably pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass. I'm 6 months post op and there's times I swear I'm starving, but it's head hunger. Like someone else mentioned, I lived off sf popsicles and broth. I loved the warmth from the broth and a different meaty taste than the sweet tastes of the Protein Drinks. I couldn't stomach Jello, it hurt and my dr's office actually stopped telling people it was good to eat in the first few stages because you can't really chew it and it goes down thick 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Mixedemotions 1 Posted October 18, 2018 I’m 4 days post op and currently not hungry but it hurts when I drink Protein Water and I’ve got diarrhea which may be from the milk.. I’m only drinking water at the moment because I’m to scared. What’s everyone been feeling with their pain ? I know everyone’s different but I get a sharp pain when I drink certain things right at the abdomen below my chest. Water isn’t doing it. Feeling week and tired though. I just want to feel better and get over this scary hurdle. I’m more scared now than I was pre surgery !
Frustr8 7,886 Posted October 19, 2018 sugar free popsicles, 6 weeks out, I can't survive without that frozen fix, they keep my lips from cracking, and I think they (the tropical ones) are a faithful source of Fluid.< /p>

I'm going into my third day after surgery and am a bit scared of the milk Protein Shakes but water is OK for me if I take it nice and slow. Lynnash2323 5 Posted October 19, 2018 Thank you everyone. I changed my brand of Protein Shake and that has seemed to help. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted October 20, 2018 So what did you swich to? I always preferred Premier Protein but the shelves are empty. Some flavors of Muscle Milk were okay, most of the others I have such a strong canned-milk taste it totally turned me off÷🍶
Lynnash2323 5 Posted October 20, 2018 I switch to Premier Protein.
