Mine was two shakes a day and a meal of 4-6 oz lean Protein (turkey, chicken, or fish) and veggies. I did that for three and a half weeks.

This is what I was given. I didn't do the lunch part of it. The low calorie entree was a healthy choice frozen entree. It turned out to be about 1200 calories per day. The weight came off pretty fast.

I am on day 6 of my 7 day liquid only diet. I do 3 Protein Shakes, SF Jello, SF popsicles and 1 bowl of broth everyday. I have my moments when I really want solid food but I just grab a popsicle and it takes my mind off it. It's been easier than I thought. Surgery in 2 days.

Thanks everyone, I went through the packet again (so many pages with so much information!) And I found that for my doctor, he requires me to do a full liquid only diet :( wish me luck

I was surprised how little hunger I had on the pre-op diet. I was actually more nauseated than hungry. Some days I had to force the shakes down. That actually made it easier than I expected. 😉 Good luck @Vccc

So re assuring! I’m getting nervous, how was everyone’s experience the first few weeks? Someone said they regretted it because of the mental strain of it all and vomiting often

I have yet to vomit since my sleeve in August (knock on wood). Came close one time at about 5 after eating some chicken that was too dry but the feeling subsided after 10 minutes. First few days I had a hard time getting comfortable in bed. Needed help getting out of bed for 2 days. Gas pain in shoulder was horrible but just the 1st night when in hospital. Tomorrow is 8 weeks since my sleeve and no regrets here! Down 38 lbs including the 2 week pre-op diet. 😀

And I think the Tropical ones are the best, just bought another box. They are my go-to snack/dessert now that pies, cakes and Cookies no longer live at my house🏡

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
