7 year post op. diet help

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have had a long journey . I was sleeved in 2011 start weight 135 kg then lost 20kg only to put it all back on.

In the last two years have got it together and lost 26 kg in last 2 years slowly and surely with excersise and diet. I now find myself in a holding pattern.

I am tracking nutrients with MFP but am struggling to get food in. If I eat too much I feel ill and can't get enough veggies in.

I need advice ,do I switch to smaller more frequent meals or stick with 3 per day. I want to stay satisfied and lose weight. Some days I am just not hungry and miss meals .

Has anyone been in this situation could you share some tips.

Congrats on 26K down.

Spread your meals to four/six small meals may help you to get food in more comfortably. Saying more satisfied while in weight loss mode takes some finagling. Eat your Protein first and as much veggies until you feel your sensation of full at each meal.

Go back to the basics - Protein first. 60/60 - 60g protein, 60 ounces Water. Exercise. Track every bite. If you need to add Snacks to get to the numbers, do it. I eat about 110g protein a day and drink about a gallon of water a day. Some days I'm not hungry either, but eat your protein.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
