Dcincinnati 8 Posted December 7, 2018 My surgery was yesterday. Super super super nauseous last night. Vomiting blood. Ended up calling my surgeon because I couldn’t even hold down a tsp of water....seriously I thought I was dying. Finally got nauseous medicine to stay down and slept for 6 hours. Currently trying to eat a popsicle, but even that is tough. Incision/belly doesn’t hurt so bad today. It’s just the nausea.
ColeSimone 10 Posted December 7, 2018 Day 3 of my liquid diet. It’s been rough I felt so hungry. I ate a chicken breast. Hopefully I’d do better tomorrow.
Lolo 2020 236 Posted December 8, 2018 (edited) I am on day 1 and honestly it wasn’t bad , I drink “pure protein” brand shakes(Trader Joe’s)and they really kill any hunger pangs . 3 shakes in the day and a piece of fish and broccoli at night with some diet Jello . My dr wants me to do all liquid but I know plenty of people who have done no pre op diet and done just fine . Edited December 8, 2018 by Lolo 2020
Wickedwinner 140 Posted December 8, 2018 Just found out today that my surgery is scheduled for December 27th. I start the pre-op high Protein diet on the 13th. Exciting and a bit scary all at once. Exciting for all the possibilities and scary because I want to succeed and not become a negative statistic. I know two people who were not successful and want to learn from their mistakes. Cognitively I know I have the capability to rock this however emotionally I am a bit shakier. Anjo- why were they not successful? I like to hear what not to do as much as what to do.
