jgirlnyc 3 Posted October 6, 2018 Maybe it’s a little too early but I am concerned about how much Water I drink per day. If I drink more than 8 ounces that’s a lot. I do take sips of broth three times a day which is about 1/4 cup each. I can’t even eat Jell-O because it does not agree with me. I try to drink a little bit of a Protein Shake last night and I had to drink that very slowly. What’s going to happen when it’s time for me to have cream Soups? I’m not hungry at all. Is this normal? browneyez42 280 Posted October 6, 2018 Yes, it's normal. Over time, you'll be able to drink more. What helped me was to drink a few sips every 15 minutes. Sleeved on April 25, 2018HW: 258SW: 238CW: 199GW: 165 1 jgirlnyc reacted to this
jgirlnyc 3 Posted October 6, 2018 Thanks @browneyes42 the last thing I need is to pass out because I’m malnourished. I’ll try to drink more often. Maybe even set reminders on my phone throughout the day to help 😉
browneyez42 280 Posted October 6, 2018 I filled two ounce cups and sipped one every 15 minutes and then I'd walk. It'll get easier...trust meSleeved on April 25, 2018HW: 258SW: 238CW: 197GW: 165 1 Spellbound reacted to this

mmartinez213 3 Posted October 6, 2018 It's totally normal to drink some at a time. I had my surgery in December 2017 and it took me three months to start to Drink and eat a little more. Remember everyone is different, and our bodies heal at different rates. I heal very slow but don't get discouraged its hard I know but as long as you sip in liquid all day your golden hun. looly 361 Posted October 6, 2018 I'm in the UK, and none of us sleevers over here seem to be given specific targets for Fluid intake. I was just told to keep on sipping regularly throughout the day and to just always have a bottle of Water by me. I did as I was told and haven't been dehydrated yet. I haven't weighed or measured anything, yet I've lost 66lbs since June 30th. I'm not sure that fixating on the numbers helps...but I accept that it might help people who appreciate very specific guidance. 3 CrankyMagpie, Yare_2018 and Ed_NW reacted to this
jultrim18 132 Posted October 6, 2018 All I recommend is sip sip sip! I had to force it. I usually got in an average of 30fl Oz of liquids. Just keep sipping.
Oct517 527 Posted October 6, 2018 Also four days out and struggling to get up to 35 oz of liquid. I feel like I sip all day long on my 20oz water bottle and then I look at it and it's not even halfway finished. I've been trying to drink some other stuff also though like broth (not a fan), Protein hot chocolate, and Protein Drinks. I can tell you at almost 7 weeks post the temperature of my liquids changes often. It all depends on what my pouch accepts that day. At 4 days, it was taking me 3 hrs to finish a Protein Shake, and longer for Water. I relied heavily on Soup broths to get in my Proteins.
