Brenttx 111 Posted December 23, 2018 Quick question. I've been logging all my food intake and nutritional info manually in a small journal but would really like to switch over to a good app on my phone, one that would also include my exercise and weight journey. I know I could look this up myself but thought I'd post it on here to see what y'all use that works great for us fellow sleevers! Thanks in advance.

SteveT74 360 Posted December 23, 2018 A metallic taste in the mouth could also be a sign that your body is in ketosis. Which isn't all beyond the realm of possibility, seeing as your sugars are drastically reduced and a lot of your culinary options starting out are sugar-free.< br> As a birthday treat, I have some Decaf coffee from Starbucks. I've added some Atkins shake plus some GENEPRO (I know some people don't like Genepro, but I spent money on it and I WILL finish the bag.) It's SO yummy. I have been struggling with nausea for the past few days, unfortunately. Thanks. I will have to look into this. Ketosis didn't even occur to me.Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

I did Keto for awhile prior to getting surgery and would end up with a metallic taste. Of course, if you have any other symptoms alongside it - definitely go see a doctor

Lolo 2020 236 Posted December 23, 2018 Keep it going - I did liquids in the day with a little Protein at night and then was scrupulous liquid the last 3 days before surgery . My stomach was Concave on day of surgery . I still lost 8 lbs in the 2 weeks . Just did surgery and dr was very pleased with prep, said it helped surgery and recovery tremendously. No one really spoke about that on here , maybe cuz they divide pre op and post op .i had surgery Thursday and the nurses were amazed at how much I could do one day out . I am on day 3 and feel ok but very tender . Hopefully this motivates you !! Good luck !
Laner 39 Posted December 23, 2018 Yes, that's normal for post surgery. It can hurt a lot for a minute or two. It usually means you ate too much too fast. I am still learning so it happens a lot. Same happens if you drink to fast. I also get these pains randomly every once in a while. When that happens, it's a stomach spasm. It should calm down after a couple of weeks. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using TapatalkI also found that if I make sure I'm sitting up straight when I swallow, the discomfort goes away.Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app 1 SteveT74 reacted to this

Lolo 2020 236 Posted December 23, 2018 2 oz of warm chicken broth is my new best friend I really don’t care about eating or drinking but know I have to get 64oz of liquid in today . Left hospital yesterday and that big Vitamin IV bag will start to dissipate in my system by Monday . Don’t want to go the dehydration route
Frustr8 7,886 Posted December 23, 2018 One of the reasons I loathe Flintstones Complete and others of that ilk, bad enough to grind them, put them in applesauce or unsweet pineapple puree and then swallow them, but then you keep belching that taste up! 👅Yccch!
