April Michelle 4 Posted December 20, 2018 So I’m 2 days post op and I am in so much pain. The walking helps a little. I get a gurgling sound every time I sip my Water. Keeping hydrated seems to be my problem. Especially when all I want to do is sleep. 1 kjuno reacted to this

Im following my nutritionists orders, i start Protein liquids on Sunday. Im not over exerting myself cause i know i dont have the fuel in my body. Im walking enough to get gas out and digest and thats about it.

I had the sleeve done on December 10th, and I feel as though nothing has happened. I've always been good drinker so drinks are no problem and I can not tell when I am full. I just stop if it feels like it's turning over, but then after a few seconds, it's gone. Is this normal? I don't want to mess up anything, and I'm still on liquids but have a had a few bites of very soft foods. Mine was the 10TH also. My Dr. said to drink approx. 2 oz every 15 min. so 1 cup in 1 hour. Sipping not gulping. pureed food 2oz. the half hour 3 times aday. Take it slow. I know how u feel about not knowing because sensations are different. Might be more normal feeling in a few more weeks:) Good luck
wendyb68 2 Posted December 21, 2018 I had my sleeve surgery this past Friday 12/14. First 5 days were rough, but I turned a corner this morning and was able to sip an entire bottle of Water in a little over an hour. 2 AggiG and kjuno reacted to this
irish_sleever 50 Posted December 21, 2018 So went to my work christmas party and had formulated a plan with my Nut beforehand because its a dinner and drinks kinda thing and the plan was go for the Soup as the starter and go for the fish as the main. Worked a treat until dessert came round and i picked the sorbet thinking it was probably the best option, bearing in mind i barely ate any of the main and only half the soup and was stuffed at this stage. Almost like clockwork though after a few bits of the sorbet the belly started to rumble angrily and had to visit the loo... Long story short I can't eat sweet things anymore... Kind delighted with this though as it reassures me that my body rejects too much sugar now and hopefully this will help me steer clear of it in the future. Next time I'll just say i'm full Anyone else have any embarrassing food moments?

ColeSimone 10 Posted December 21, 2018 Good morning everyone. I had my sleeve surgery yesterday morning. Still in the hospital I haven’t been up walking yet but will do today. Minutes before my surgery my surgeon came in to tell me that their was a new cutting procedure (a clamp) that he’d never used before and if I agreed I’d be the first patient he’d have used it on. I agreed. According to the doctor my surgery went well. I expected to wake up in pain but I didn’t. I had a hernia repaired and only pain I had was in my left shoulder and a sore throat but it was bareable. I’m able to get my Water down but the broth made me nauseous. I’m expected to be released some time today.

Laner 39 Posted December 21, 2018 Day 4 and I'm starting to feel human again. Just need to get some Protein. I have never liked sweet drinks, but it seems like that is all the Protein Drinks I can have. I'm going to add protein to broth and see if that works. Any other ideas?Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app 1 kjuno reacted to this

kjuno 53 Posted December 21, 2018 Laner there is several different brands but what I get is Isopure on Amazon and it’s a tasteless Protein Powder you can add to anything really. I was never big on sweets and the shakes make me nauseous. 1 Laner reacted to this
