Ed_NW 684 Posted September 28, 2018 I had to weigh in at my doctor's office this week so they could fax the results to Kaiser in Bellevue. Kaiser called me a day later and said congratulations, you're below the required weight and have finished all of the pre-surgery tests. Now we can schedule an appointment with the surgeon and the dietitian. I started the whole process by weighing in at my Dr.'s office in May of this year. Yesterday I got a call from the "scheduler" at Kaiser and she was super excited to tell me my appointment with the Nut. and Surgeon will be on Dec. 4th! Needless to say, I wasn't as excited as she was considering the process just to see the surgeon to talk about what kind of surgery I will be getting and when that will happen has taken over 6 mo. I pay $650 every month for this insurance plus I think I've met my out of pocket costs for the year so I was hoping to get the surgery done in 2018 before that resets. Makes me wonder if they're stalling on purpose or is this just normal for Kaiser Permanente . At $7800 per year year for health insurance plus out of pocket expenses, I'm beginning to wonder if it would've been better to fly to Mexico and get it done. Oh well, that's my rant for the day. Happy Friday y'all
