Feeling MISERABLE a little over 10 wks out

Recommended Posts

I just spent my entire day in the ER. I have been feeling so miserable the past week or so. Have not been able to naturally have a bm and even with soemthing it sometimes doesn’t happen. I have absolutely no appetite at all. I’m repulsed by any food. I’m experiencing constant nausea, dehydrated, and severe Constipation. I don’t know what to do! I feel so absolutely miserable. I feel worse than I did right after surgery. Horrible pain in the core of my abdomen and such nauseaCat scan, bloodwork came back fine but no one gave me an explanation as to why I feel so miserable! any experiences like this? 😢😢

Sounds like all things related to not drinking enough water... what is your typical daily Water intake (just water)?

I generally drink about 2 16 oz bottles of Water a day. I know I should be drinking more and I’m going to try and push myself it’s just hard because during the day I work with very young children and it really is hard to get a sip of water in. But Im feeling so bad now that even to drink a sip of water is excruciatingly nauseating. I can’t even think of actually eating something 😢

32 oz is so low it's not funny. I get it's hard, but your health is important, those young children aren't going to benefit from you not taking care of yourself. Hydration is so critical to your health, dehydration is deadly.

For the tolerance issues, try different temps of water or adding some flavoring, I suggest adding some electrolytes to your water since you are getting in so little.

Good luck!

Mio + electrolytes, Bone Broth, the Crystal light w/electrolytes and even Pedialyte popsicles should help with restoring balance

BUT

You need Water, your body can't function without it, you need A LOT and EVERYDAY. Consuming above requirements is easiest thing that you can do for your recovery and continued success

Once that's resolved, Fiber will keep you regular, Vitamins and mineral supplements will boost your energy levels, Protein supplements and eventually real food will give you lasting energy through nutrients.

Contact your team and tell them you are struggling, they may have alot more tips.

Please do follow Green Tealael and Matt Z's advice. Do you like tea? Try gerbils and decaff green tea, I love popsicles, especially the sugar free tropicals, not as sicky sweet as the Orange-grape - cherry variety, one vari- bud said her store has the sugar free red/white/blue bomb pops, not Wal-Mart where I shop, gosh I envy her!
You say,you work with kiddos? If they are old enough make,it,a teaching experience, maybe how Toby, the Train works better when he takes his Water on and how people do too. Even pass out the 4 or 8 oz size baby bottles, a lot easier to clean up than grape juice.< br /> Now I loathe room temperature water, reminds me of something else, so,i do chill or ice things. But another bari- bud about same point as me ( 2 to '4 weeks post) only likes warm/very warm things. I may be there with Premier Protein water over ice, she's sippin,g weak Lipton citrus green tea. Point is we're both getting in some Fluid. I also like low sodium V8 over ice, Not only fluid but some Vitamins there, and tasty instead of sweet.
But you DO Need water, your body gets all slushy, sluggish and doesn't work well without plenty. You had your surgery to feel better, work better and feel better, don't hamper yourself like that! And let us know how your journey continues, We are Your friends, We are, here for YOU always! Let's keep in Touch! Okay?

Better yet try Herbals instead of gerbils, those little rodents got a whole separate b7nch,of problems. I like Yogi Lavender-Lemon,, and a bunch of others.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.

I'm so sorry. I lost my pup (Mr. Bitters - a chocolate Pomeranian) 2 years ago and it still makes me tear up. He was my everything - my constant companion. I understand. Do the best you can to get back on track.
