So now that we all want to feel better, ride roller coasters and cross our legs like ladies... this time next year we will have to meet at an amusement park, chase our kids around and have dinner at a fancy restaurant ( split one meal... lol) and cross our legs in our new hug heals! Sounds like an amazing plan to me! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I just want to feel healthy. And not feel ‘restricted’ all the time. And also I really want to be able to ride a roller coaster with my son without having to worry if I will fit in the seat!

Literally been there in real life I tried to take my daughter on a peek a bug ride... I had to get off with then crying daughter with everyone watching I totally went 50 shades of red, we left the entire park mostly I felt awful for my daughter who just couldn't understand at the time... I owe it to her and my husband to be the best I can for them and to overall be here right! We are all so close... and it is great to be able to share with people who get it!

I am also scheduled for Nov 6th. I'm really looking forward to being able to play with my toddler without running out of breath after 30 seconds of activity. I'd also like to stop destroying furniture.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
