I will be 7 weeks out on Wednesday and I am down around 20 pounds.
Not bad 🤷
I have successfully stayed away from the scale and will not be weighing until Friday!

I’m also 7 weeks out & have lost about 22 lbs. I keep trying to avoid the scale because of fluctuations. I’ll lose nothing one week & the 5 lbs the next & then gain a lb or 2. I don’t want to cause extra stress by continuously checking but my work desk is literally right beside a scale. 😩

Exactly it has got me feeling that fear of failure.
I'm just so scared this is going to be added to the list of things that didn't work for me.
So I out that dang scale away and am just trying to focus on me.
Mental health is super important too and that wasn't doing good for mine at all!
I look at my scale every morning but I haven't weighed since Friday!
I am trying to stay strong until this Friday!
Fingers crossed I see some sort of progress!

Hi everybody 👋🏾 I haven’t been on here as much. I hope everyone is doing well. I can finally say I’m finally out of the 300. Its been a tough journey so far but I’m super excited that I’m finally getting close to where i wanna be. I started last year at 360 lbs I never wanna be that size again. I lose weight slow but I’m the course of a year I finally managed to get that number down.

Unfortunately... no... I cannot change the setting for 28 days. Well.. 25 now. I have it set on my calendar. I’ll let you all know when it’s updated.

That is amazing news!!! Congrats! seeing the progress really does help with maintaining the program right? I was so worried when this journey 1st started because nothing else had worked, but a slow week or a fast week this is working and encourages me to keep moving forward! YOU ARE DOING FANTASTIC!!

Congrats!! I'm a slow loser, compared to a lot of people's post-op losses. BUT, like you, I started losing weigh earlier this year and had lost a lot before surgery. I'm slowly moving in the right direction and I've decided I'm okay with that! I was getting frustrated at first because I wasn't losing as fast as I thought I should. But I've come to accept that there are a lot of reasons why losing slowly isn't so bad!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
