Hair Loss Already, less than 2 months out! *WHINE*

Recommended Posts

I'm just here to whine/vent...my hair is already thinning out CONSIDERABLY and I'm only 8 weeks out. I'm getting all my Protein and taking all my multis/calcium/etc. per the instruction of my NUT/Surgery team. I know many people go through it and hopefully it'll be temporary BUT it's still bothering me and stressing me out! If it's already starting now, what's it going to be when I hit month 3-4 when it usually starts being an issue for people??!?! Trying to be optimistic but just having lots of anxiety about it, oh well!

I'm going to add Biotin to my routine, not because it can prevent any Hair loss but because it'll make me feel like I'm at least doing SOMETHING about it.

BLERRGGGG. Rant/whine/vent over!

Be careful with the Biotin. Too much biotin has been shown to encourage facial Hair growth in women...I do not know if you are female but this is usually not a desirable side effect.

The Hair loss stinks but most of us go through it and will grow our hair back.

Many Thanks Kim, last thing as PCOS person wants is more facial hair, I live in Amish Country, don't want to be mistaken for Mr Yoder or Scheckler!

I'm worried about thinking hair, too, because my hair is already thinking terribly. And, I already have to shave my chin and neck every morning like a guy. All of my labs come back normal...no thyroid or hormonal issues, so who knows what's going on with me. I'm actually thinking about buying a wig for post surgery. N

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
