Getting in your Protein w/o artificial sweetener?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a Protein Shake (not powder if I can help it) that has less than 3g sugar and no artificial sweetener?

I love the Nugo slim bars because they fit this criteria, but they aren't nearly as easy to get down.

Barring that, is anyone managing to get the 60g of Protein a day with out Protein Shakes? 20 grams of protein a meal seems practically impossible right now.

Thanks! I'll look into them!

You bet.. It's considered Water so it will count towards your water intake as well. Good luck!

I drink Bi-Pro Water and they have no artificial sweeteners. They can be a little filmy on the tongue so drink them cold.

I’m tired of artificial sugars and have vowed to never have them again after I’m tolerating solid foods. I will use no sugar, raw sugar, honey, stevia, Monk Fruit (don’t have a sweet tooth) but I will kick sucralose and aspartame out of my diet for good as soon as I can.

As far as Bi-Pro, costco and Amazon carry them. They double as water and Protein so a relief if you are feeling hangry.

I rarely use Protein Shakes anymore unless I'm adding it to Decaf coffee.

I am getting my 60g of protein in daily, my surgery was 8/20 - It sometimes takes up to 6 meals a day, but it's doable.

tuna Creations has flavored tuna and salmon with 13-16g protein, coupled with cottage cheese - 20+ grams of protein per serving.

Yogurt - Dannon Light and Fit Greek and Oikos Zero is 15g of protein per serving

The idea is to now slowly ween yourself off protein shakes and move to more solid foods to get the necessary Proteins. It's out there, you just have to not be as picky and accept this is for nutrition.

My meal portions are no larger than 3 oz and are usually more so around the 2 - 2.5 oz mark.
