photogirl70 142 Posted September 15, 2018 How much do you chew? I looked though my notebook and my guidelines say 20-30 after the first 2 weeks. In the "nutrition for life" section, there is no mention. Do you count your chews? Sometimes, I find that I forget to chew as much as I probably should. I'm just curious about what other people are experiencing.

J San 1,071 Posted September 15, 2018 Same for me. I've never counted. At times I've been conscious of the texture before I swallow but most of the time I just chew and swallow. Have never had any issues yet.

All my postop says 30 times and says to do for life. Hey, isn't that what we taught to do as kids to get the digestion process started in our mouths
Screwballski 540 Posted September 16, 2018 I chew everything to death out of habit. I’m a band to Sleeve revision. My band was so bad that I threw up nearly everything for 12+ years if I didn’t chew to purée (and even then more than half the time). I don’t think I know any other way.
