LynnV1964 134 Posted September 15, 2018 What surgery are you having? I’m going ESG. Fortunately I only have a 2 day liquid diet pre op. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Yeah I only have to do a liquid diet for 2 days as well but I want to shrink my liver as much as possible. And I'm having the vsg what about you?Sent from my Z855 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
LynnV1964 134 Posted September 15, 2018 The ESG I’m having is endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty. Pretty new but they do it endoscopiclly so no incisions. They make a sleeve of your stomach (like vsg) by placing a series of ditches to reduce the stomach size. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

How long did it take for you to get approved for surgerySent from my Z855 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
LynnV1964 134 Posted September 15, 2018 I had my initial consult with the surgeon, 2 weeks later did my labs and ekg and got a call to schedule right after that. ESG is not covered by insurance yet so it doesn’t require you jump they all the hoops of other procedures 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

LynnV1964 134 Posted September 15, 2018 Do far most everyone is supportive. Some of them look at me weird cause they’re surprised. I only qualify for esg just barely .....I had to have a BMI of 30 or higher. I was 31. It just makes so much sense to take this step. I’m 53 and I feel older than that due to plantar fasciitis, acid reflux, high blood pressure and just no energy. Can’t stay like this! I’m ready 2 clsumrall and Frustr8 reacted to this
