Strategies to curb your hunger while you lose

Recommended Posts

That's really interesting..

I do notice (and in the past I was always no lettuce, tomato,or pickle) but I like stacking lettuce on food now just for added low-cal substance.

And blending a whole bunch of random veggies in your fruit smoothie normally doesn't change the taste much (unless it's something strong such as beets or corn).. but blending a bit of carrot/broccoli/spinache, etc.. doesn't add much of a taste to smoothies but it will add Vitamins :P

Thanks Kacee :P

I think that if you are volume depleted (aka dehydrated) at all it sends to many of us a signal that can be taken as "EAT!" I do try to make certain I'm hydrated purely to decrease that signal. There are enough EAT signals as it is :)

Thanks for posting the article - it's worth trying any tricks to help curb appetite - real or not! :P

This week, I've made a real effort to chew chew chew my food, eating at a much slower pace. Experts say that gives your taste buds time to kick in and really enjoy the food you're eating, and I think it's helped.

I've got 6 months to go in this pre- op program to satisfy insurance and I'm supposed to be on a 1200-1500 calorie diet. But being the weinee that I am, I started out this week on 1800 calories.

But I have failed miserably in the exercise dept....think I'll go look for some hints over there!:help:

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
