today has been interesting.... Im 18 days out, on puree stage. had a Protein Shake with blended fruit. (liquified) then later had a lot of Water. then later had cottage cheese, and took my gummy vitamins I take everyday. about 45 min later I had more water and was moving around a lot picking up the house and my stomach felt just full and every time I moved I felt like it was coming up. a couple times it almost came up and still hours later, I can only sip water. not move around a lot.

what does it mean? I'm no where near my Protein today and don't think I can put anything in.???

I had days like this in the first month or so. Still do, every once and a while. I can't explain it, I just listen to my body and don't let myself push it (actually I pushed it a little last night and REGRETTED IT...ate one bite too many...no fireworks, but it was painful). I resigned myself that some days, I wasn't going to hit all of my Protein or water.

What Russ said...sometimes my stomach just gets sensitive and anything going in irritates it. Over the long haul, missing your nutritional goals a day or two here and there won't do any harm. Try liquids only tomorrow if you can, and go back to your purees the day after.

I would recommend Protein Shakes that have 30g Protein. Premier is my favorite. Then you just need to drink two, and you will get your liquids in. Right now all you need in protein shakes and Water. However, I still barely get my protein in 😂😂 I try though!!! I have to buy more shakes

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
