BuzzVSG 252 Posted September 10, 2018 Even though it is ingrained in our brain that carbonation is the devil, I tailgated today with some friends and had a diet coke and some Jack Daniels. I poured a little bit of the soda in a cup to sip to see if there were any adverse effects, I didn't have any. I nursed that drink over the course of an hour and was ok, nothing happened. I almost feel guilty for doing it. I am about six months post of and one pound away from my personal goal. I kind of am still scared of food but I am trying to overcome that. 3 FancyChristine15, willowfinely and GreenTealael reacted to this

tedsmom 33 Posted September 10, 2018 Carbonation will stretch your new smaller stomach so you will go back to your pre surgery size/habits. If you want a coke make it flat first.

Kasrielle 6 Posted September 10, 2018 I stopped dringing diet pepsi after I was hospitalized for a pulmanary embolism in Feb of 2017. And while my nutritionist discourages them, she said Icould have one if I wanted. However, in my case the diet soda greatly increased my urge to eat. So I'm in no hurry to go back to them. I thought this was a judgement free site. Silly me for thinking I wasn’t going to get condescending comments. If you were actually paying attention I am actually one pound below my goal. But thanks for your input 8 3 Wanda247, jaminator, psyance and 8 others reacted to this
